What we collect
- The photo of your ticket and the details on it (citation number, date, time, location, violation, plate, vehicle make).
- Photos and documents you add as evidence, with the time they were taken and, for photos taken in the app, your phone's location at that moment.
- Your phone's location when you allow it, used once to find the block you parked on.
- Your answers, the text you write, and the name you put on the letter.
- If you buy a package, Stripe handles the payment. We receive a payment confirmation, never your card number.
How it's used
- The ticket photo is sent to OpenAI to read the printed details. It is not used to train their models under OpenAI's API terms.
- The block location and ticket time are used to query public City datasets (DataSF). Those queries contain coordinates and dates, not your name or plate.
- Everything else stays on our server and is only used to build your protest package.
- Google Analytics and a first-party page counter record which pages and steps are visited. They do not receive your ticket, photos or answers.
How long we keep it
Each ticket, with its photos and answers, is deleted automatically 90 days after you start it. You can delete it sooner with the "Delete this ticket and all photos" button on the last step, or by emailing [email protected]. Payment records are kept by Stripe as the law requires.
Who can see it
Your ticket is reachable only through the private link stored in your browser. We don't sell or share your information, and we never file anything with SFMTA on your behalf.
